Once upon a time back in 2014, two crazy kids tried out a crazy new app called Tinder.  They both swiped right, traded some terrible jokes about moose and mushrooms, and the rest is history.

 

...ok, that's not entirely accurate.  Some other stuff happened, too.  Here are the highlights:

 

10/5/14 - Craig & Ali went on their first date - brunch.  Craig was so nervous, he missed the fact that the veggie omelette came with mushrooms (Craig HATES mushrooms).  Ali talked about dragons.  It was awesome.

 

10/25/14 - Craig & Ali's second date.  We'll spare you the details, but Craig was in a wizard costume, Ali went to the wrong house, and something about a bear and a championship.  They've been inseparable (and arguably insufferable) ever since.

12/14/14 - Ali told Craig she loved him at The Stomping Ground in Putnam, CT.  The bar stools where it happened are now their "usual spot".

12/24/14 - Craig said it back, in the Price Chopper parking lot in Webster, MA.  They do not have a "usual spot".

 

3/15/15 - Craig & Ali survived their first road trip together and spent a week in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Ask Craig about Dean.  They also visited the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum.  Ask Ali about the backend of the SR-71.

 

7/19/15 - Ali took Craig to his first cheese fest in Shelburne, VT.  Craig thought planning a vacation around cheese was crazy, but then he discovered his favorite gin and mead.  The trip is now an annual tradition (except for 2020, but we don't need to talk about that).

 

11/11/15 - Ali checked "perform at Mohegan Sun" off her bucket list.  Coincidentally, this is also the night their offer on their condo was accepted.

 

11/25/15 - Ali made a cheesecake for Craig's family Thanksgiving,  and absolutely nothing bad happened.  In completely unrelated news, "cheesequake" is a funny word.

 

2/5/16 - Craig & Ali closed on and moved into their condo in Putnam, CT.

 

6/18/16 - Craig & Ali rescued Yoshi, the best dog ever.  This fact is not up for debate.

 

3/26/17 - Craig & Ali went to Las Vegas, NV.  This is where they discovered that breakfast fried rice cures...everything.

 

11/10/17 - Craig began his career as a video game streamer.  This accounts for the lack of momentous happenings in 2018 and 2019.  To date, Craig's gross earnings from this venture have reached a staggering $43 (charitable events notwithstanding).

 

3/22/18 - Craig & Ali went to an actual San Jose Sharks game at the actual Shark Tank in actual San Jose, CA.  They also went to Napa and had fantastic wine, but it was mostly about the Sharks game (depending on who you ask).

 

10/17/18 - Ali bought her wedding dress.  What?  It was on sale.

 

8/6/19 - Craig & Ali traveled to Montreal, QC, to eat all the poutine.  This was Ali's first time traveling outside the US.  Much to the chagrin of several people, she was allowed back in.

 

6/28/20 - Craig proposed to Ali at Old Silver Beach in Falmouth, MA.  Ali cried.  A lot.

 

9/4/21 (pending) - Craig & Ali get married, and live happily ever after.
